Description:
The compact plunger with a closed copper ring “GP-A” was developed to replace the standard solid plunger.
The plunger head is made of high conductivity copper alloy to get better cooling; it is held through the 1st bayonet of the plunger-holder .
The closed ring is made of copper alloy, but it can also be made of special heat-treated steel; it is the wearing part.
The intermediate ring holds the ring in position and allows an easy assembly/removal of the sealing ring.
The plunger body is made of special steel which is heat-treated; it is held through the 2nd bayonet of the plunger-holder .
The plunger-holder is made of stainless steel; it is designed with a double-bayonet system and is screwed to the rod.
Advantages:
The copper ring can easily be replaced on the machine with a wrench only; it does not need any special tools!
Thanks to the double bayonet, the head and the body can easily be removed with an Allen wrench, without any special tools!
Long life cycle of the plunger is guaranteed; head, intermediate ring, and plunger body are not wearing parts! Only the copper ring is a wear part!
